Library Appointments

During this time of Covid restrictions, the library is asking all patrons to make appointments to enter the library building. We are also allowing walk-ins at the top of each hour during our open hours. All library sessions begin at the top of the hour and last 45 minutes, unless an exception is made. Our hours are as follows:

  • Mondays - Thursdays: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. (as of 9/7/2021)
    The front door is opened at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6:00.
  • Fridays and Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    The front door is opened at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, and 4:00.

Appointments are available for:
(1.) Computer use.
(2.) Research assistance.
(3.) A basic computer skills class.
(4.) Browsing library collections.
(5.) Using the photocopier.

(Appointments are also available for our Career Services; please call 732-745-5108 x20 or click here for more details, including available hours.)

Patrons must have their own valid library card or ID for computer use and for checking out library material. Please visit our Library Card page or call 732-745-5108 x25 for details if you need to get or renew a library card.

For computer use: Available computer stations are spaced out according to social distancing guidelines. Each patron can print up to 5 pages for free; there is a charge of 10¢ for each page after the first 5 pages. Printing payments must be in cash and no change will be given; please bring exact change or receive printing credits for future use.

For using the photocopier: Only one photocopier is available, in the main lobby area. This machine uses black ink only, and each copy is 10 cents. The machine accepts nickels, dimes, and quarters, as well as dollar bills. The library cannot make change, nor can the library give refunds for any possible problems with the photocopier.

To make an appointment, use the form embedded into this page, or call 732-745-5108. You will be in contact with a librarian who will review and confirm your appointment details. (Please note that your appointment is not confirmed until you speak with a librarian.)

While in the library, you must:

  • Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose
  • Follow social distancing guidelines
  • Be aware that limited assistance may be provided to maintain the safety of both staff and patrons

If a patron is late for their appointment, they may be required to reschedule. Patrons will answer health-related questions before entering the building. Patrons may stay for all or part of the 45-minute session.

Only a certain number of patrons will be allowed in at a time, so it is important to let us know how many people will be coming with you when you are scheduling your appointment. Patrons with appointments will take priority over walk-ins.

(Please visit the Children's Computer Appointments page to make an appointment specifically for children or for only using the Children's Room.)
