Children's Room Appointments
During this time of Covid restrictions, the library is asking all patrons to make appointments to enter the library building. Children can reserve 45 minutes of library time each day; this can be to use a library computer or to browse the library collections in the Children’s Room.
To make a reservation, complete the embedded form or call the library at 732-745-5108 x13. A librarian will contact you to go over details and confirm your reservation date and time. Reservation times are available during certain hours on weekdays only.
Available computer stations are spaced out according to social distancing guidelines. A valid library card is required to check out library material, and all items will need to be checked out upstairs. (Please visit our Library Card page or call 732-745-5108 x25 for details if you need to get or renew a library card.)
During your visit to the library, you are required to:
- Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose.
- Follow social distance guidlines.
- Be aware that limited assistance may be offered.
The doors will open at the top of the hour at appointment times. If a patron is late for their appointment, they will be required to reschedule. Patrons without an appointment will not be allowed in at this time. Patrons will answer health-related questions and have their temperature checked before entering the building. Patrons may stay for all or part of the 45-minute session.
Only a certain number of patrons will be allowed in at a time, so it is important to let us know how many people will be coming with you when you are scheduling your appointment. Please also let us know if you would like to browse the Adult/Teen collections (including the DVD room) as well as the Children’s Room. Please understand that all members of your party will need to remain together during your time in the library, and some areas of the library will be restricted.
(Adults interested in appointments for themselves, please visit the Reference Computer Use Page.)
